Living Generously
When you realize everything you have is a gift from God, something shifts. The grace, love, and forgiveness Jesus offers are unearned and unconditional. Just as God’s heart toward us is generous, our response can be, too! Living generously is simply moving from a “this is mine” mindset to saying “God has given this to me to steward.” Giving to the church is a way you can use what God has given you to bring hope, compassion, justice, and love to our world.

Thrivent Choice reflects the heart of Thrivent, empowering clients with membership to live generously and have a meaningful impact in their communities. By directing Choice Dollars, members help decide where Thrivent distributes millions of dollars in grant funding each year, with $1 granted for each Choice Dollar directed.
Thrivent will pay up to $1,000,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent’s online giving platform.

About Tithing
How we use the money God has entrusted to us often shows what we value. In Scripture, tithing—giving a tenth—appears as a pattern God gave His people in the Old Testament. While Christians today are not bound to those ceremonial laws, the practice of giving our first and best to the Lord remains a faithful and God‑honoring response.
For Christians, giving is never about earning God’s favor. It is a response to His grace. Everything we have already belongs to Him, and He calls us to be good stewards of His gifts. Setting aside a portion of our income—whether a tithe or another intentional amount—is a way to put God first, support the work of the Gospel, and trust that He will continue to provide for all our needs.
